Ayurveda is one of the world’s oldest holistic healing systems, rooted in natural balance and harmony between the body, mind, and spirit. Originating in India over 5,000 years ago, Ayurveda focuses on maintaining health rather than just treating disease. The word “Ayurveda” itself means “the science of life,” reflecting its comprehensive approach to well-being.



At the core of Ayurveda lies the concept of the three doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. These doshas are biological energies that govern physical and mental processes in the body. Each person has a unique combination of these doshas, known as their constitution or “Prakriti.” When the doshas are balanced, a person experiences good health; when they are imbalanced, it can lead to discomfort or illness. Ayurveda aims to restore this balance through personalized lifestyle practices, diet, and natural therapies.
